Catholic? Young? Love Singing?

We've got some great news for you!

We are delighted to announce that, from September 2018, we are introducing ‘Voice for Life’ into our parish.  ‘Voice for Life’ is a programme that has been developed by the Royal School of Church Music and has proved very successful across the country.   It provides a framework for singers to develop their vocal skills, their musical understanding and their knowledge of sacred music.

This group will be ideal for young singers and beginners who love to sing but have little or no formal training (yet!)

To join, you must be at least 8yrs old in September. The training will be led by Rosemary Field of the RSCM who is a highly experienced organist, teacher and choral trainer.  Sessions will take place from 5pm-5.45pm on Tuesday evenings during term time in St Osmund’s School. A snack will be provided (for those coming straight from school). You can find out more information about the programme by visiting the RSCM’s website: https://www.rscm.com/voiceforlife/

For those who want to, the programme can lead to recognised singing qualifications.  Others may just want to improve their singing and have fun singing with other young people.  In time, we hope to form a youth choir for our church.

To the young people of the Salisbury Catholic Churches, training and materials will be provided free of charge. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
