Closing the Gate

Steward 1

Armed with an open padlock (no key required) our intrepid steward set forth on Sunday after the 11 am Mass to lock the school car park. A simple straightforward task one might think.  However, our brave steward decided to lock the gate from the inside (no key remember) only to find there was no escape route.

Back at headquarters (the parish rooms) there was much distress at his predicament. After a period of time and prolonged consultation a cunning plan was hatched. “We will send him a ‘key” so a rescue mission was launched.

However, before the rescuers arrived our brave steward was seen returning up Exeter street, he had made a daring escape. There is a lesson somewhere in this story.
