Salisbury Deanery Confirmation 2018

On June 6, 19 candidates received the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Osmund’s Church.  It was a wonderful celebration and we were especially happy to have all of the priests of the Deanery present: Canon Michael Fitzpatrick and Fr Saji Mathew were joined by Fr Anthony Paris from Christ the King, Amesbury and Fr Robert Miller from Sacred Heart, Tisbury and Wardour.  Sadly, Bishop Declan was unable to come and was represented instead by Fr Bernard Massey. Following the Mass there was a buffet supper in the Parish Rooms and many people stayed on afterwards to congratulate the candidates and socialise in the warm evening.

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make the Mass and reception afterwards a wonderful and memorable occasion for the candidates.  Thanks also to our Deanery Youth Worker, Xanthe and the Project 99 Mission team for organising and delivering our Deanery Confirmation Programme & Retreat this year.  If you are interested in joining our programme of preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation in 2019, click here for more information or contact the parish office.
