Outreach Volunteers - meetings with Fr Anthony

As many parishioners will be aware, at our recent ‘Parish Briefings’, our incoming Parish Priest, Fr Anthony Paris, conveyed to us his commitment to carry on the work that has begun under Fr Michael to respond to the call of Pope Francis to be a more outward facing church; a church intent on building communion, intent on the upbuilding and expansion of our individual church communities and committed to active mission within our city. Fr Anthony would like to meet with all of the Outreach Volunteers who carry out visits to fellow parishioners at Christmas and Easter and all those who took part in our ‘Adopt-a-Street’ initiative which saw 11,000 cards distributed around our city earlier this year. In order that he is able to meet the maximum number of participating volunteers as soon as possible following his arrival, we are hosting three gatherings:

• 16:15 Holy Redeemer meeting room Saturday 14 September

• 15:00 St Osmund’s Parish Rooms Sunday 15 September

• 16:00 St Gregory’s Hall Sunday 22 September

Each of these meetings will be more or less the same so there is no need to attend more than one. If you have not yet volunteered to join either of these initiatives but would like to come along and find out more with a view (hopefully!) to joining in this time around, you are very, very welcome to join us. Come along, speak to current volunteers and find out what’s involved. There will be tea, coffee and biscuits too! Come and join us. If you have any questions, contact Caroline on 502503 or [email protected]
