SISTER PATRICIA TALBOT RIP

Sister Patricia

Sister Patricia sadly died on Monday night. She joined the La Retraite Sisters after reading Classics at University. Whilst still in her twenties she became Head of the La Retraite Convent here in Salisbury. Went on to Weston-super-Mare in 1971 to help run the Convent and School there. Became Provincial Superior in this country in 1977 and then on to Superior General of the Order in 1982. Sister Patricia worked in the South African townships from 1977 – 2004 on missionary work, both spiritual and medical. From 2004 Sister Patricia and the sisters worked tirelessly here in Salisbury in both the social community and providing spiritual input. Sister Patricia herself was the Spiritual Director to both priests and members of the lay community. She left Salisbury in 2012 and eventually retired to Bristol. Her burial will be taking place on Thursday 7 May at 10:00, we will be praying for Sister Patricia at the 10:00 Mass on that day, please join us via the livestream
