Vocation Retreat Day

What is God calling you to? Whether discerning your own path or simply curious about how others live out their faith, this day retreat is a chance to pause, explore, learn and reflect together as a community. Open to both men and women, the day brings together speakers from across different vocations, including married life, religious life and the diaconate, each sharing their story of how they found their calling. The day includes Mass and time for confession, with lunch and refreshments included in the ticket price.

Saturday 10th October, 10am to 5.00pm, at St Mary on the Quay, Bristol. Tickets from £10, available via Eventbrite/Zeffy. For enquiries, please contact [email protected].

Our speakers:

Mauro & Janet Iannicelli trained for the priesthood and religious life respectively before discerning a call to marriage instead, and now run Come & See Catholic Formation Ministries, a teaching apostolate reaching parishes and dioceses across the country.

Reverend Deacon Robert von Hawrylak had a career in historic property restoration before a life-changing accident led him to years of prayer and recovery, eventually discerning a call to the Diaconate. He now serves at St John the Evangelist in Bath.

Reverend Sister Ann Catherine Swailes OP is Prioress of the Dominican Convent in Cambridge, with a doctorate in theology, and has a gift for making deep questions of faith and vocation warm and accessible.

Father Eamonn Donnelly SVD is a Divine Word Missionary ordained in 1970, with decades of missionary and pastoral experience across Mexico, the United States and Latin America, now supporting parish life in London.

Sister Ernestine Agnes Kou SSpS was the first Indonesian SSpS Sister to serve in England, and has been a Missionary Sister for over 25 years, currently living in the SSpS Community in Lawrence Weston.
