A Wonderful Day at Our Parish Christmas Bazaar!

Cb

Following a truly joyful and packed 11am Mass celebrated by Fr Joseph, and concelebrated by Fr David, visiting us from Italy, our parish community gathered in the hall for this year’s Christmas Bazaar—and what a fantastic event it turned out to be!

From the moment the doors opened the hall was absolutely buzzing. The wonderful aroma of delicious hot dogs and warming glühwein greeted everyone at the entrance, setting the tone for a lively and festive afternoon. Stalls of every kind filled the space: a bustling bottle stall, a lively tombola, a cheerful children’s stall, and tables packed with books, cakes, and a huge variety of Christmas gifts and handmade treasures. There was also a wonderful display of carefully homemade craft gifts, lovingly created and beautifully presented.

In fact, the bazaar proved so popular that at one point we had to close the doors temporarily to avoid overcrowding—people were eager to come in as soon as space allowed! The atmosphere was full of laughter, conversation, and the joyful bustle of families and parishioners enjoying the start of Advent together.

The raffle was, as always, incredibly popular, with around 20 lucky winners taking home fantastic prizes. And, adding to the fun of the afternoon, Deacon John Proctor delighted everyone by winning himself a “pamper make-up kit”, which he accepted with great humour and clear enthusiasm!

Meanwhile, the refreshments area was a haven of warmth and hospitality, serving tea, coffee, and homemade mince pies—all for just 50p.

It was a truly uplifting parish event, full of community spirit, generosity, and festive cheer. A huge thank you to everyone who donated, organised, baked, cooked, served, and supported. Your hard work made this a special day for the whole parish.

Here’s to a blessed Advent season—and to many more joyful moments together.
