Family Fast Day is on Friday 7 October. Join together with your parish, friends and family so that families around the world survive today and have food for all their tomorrows.
By sharing a simple meal and giving what you save, you'll be standing in solidarity with vulnerable people who are threatened by the global food crisis. No-one deserves to go hungry.
Millions of families are facing a food crisis that could be worse than any we’ve lived through.
This is a crisis created by other disasters: climate change, coronavirus, and conflict in Ukraine, mean food prices are skyrocketing.
All around the world – including here, in the UK – families are finding it harder than ever to put food on the table. In northern Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Sudan, up to 20 million people face devastating drought and grain shortages.
Together, as one global family, we have the power to help. It takes love – from all of us.
CAFOD works with local experts in East Africa and across the world who know how best to respond— and your donation means they can help stop this crisis getting even worse.
You can donate via the envelopes provided in our churches which will be collected on the weekend 8/9 October or directly online by following this link: https://cafod.org.uk/Give
