Congratulations to Anita-Marie and Michael

At Christ the King, Amesbury, on Friday 21 November 2025, we joyfully celebrated the First Holy Communion of Anita-Marie and Michael McDonagh. After a challenging year for both children, this long-awaited moment finally arrived at the Friday morning Mass, celebrated by Fr Joseph and accompanied by Deacon Steve. Fittingly held on the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lady, the celebration marked a beautiful moment of grace. Smartly dressed and full of anticipation, Anita and Michael received the Eucharist for the first time—reminded that just as Mary said her first “yes” to the Lord, this was their first “yes” in faith. May it be the first of many blessed steps on their journey with Christ.

Anita Marie John
