‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ Holy Family Chapel, Whaddon Friday 28 September 2018

The coffee morning held at Holy Family Chapel raised a grand total of £820  for Macmillan Cancer Support. Over £700 was raised at the event and a further £100 in a ‘Remains of the cake’ sale after Mass at Holy Redeemer on Saturday.

The event was attended by members of the Catholic and local communities, plus friends. People working in the business and office parks in the village came in to buy cake for their colleagues and a couple of delivery drivers dropped in to get cake too.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning has been held in the chapel since 2010 and its popularity and success appears to be increasing. Thanks are due to our Coffee Team and our wonderful bakers and everyone who supported the event in any way.

The photos show the splendid selection of cakes available and a range of cakes, puddings and biscuits to take away. A couple of team members - Gill and José - are standing outside the chapel. Other photos show church members.

Well done to Jo Little for organising this amazing annual event
